The Split-Blade Challenge: 20.5cm Razor Sword Metal Replica (87g)
Welcome back to the soot and smoke of the BlacksmithSONG forge. In our last session, we ascended to the clouds to admire the 106g divine elegance of the Goddess Sword.
Today, we are stripping away the elegance. We are heading to the Mountain Smithy in Termina to examine a weapon built purely for aggressive, jagged cutting power: the Razor Sword.
Before we discuss the absolute nightmare of casting a split-blade out of metal, listen to the bellows pump and watch the metallic blue finish gleam in our forge diorama below:
The Engineering of a Split-Blade (87g)
If you look at our data archives, you will notice something fascinating. The Razor Sword is exactly 20.5cm long. We have another sword exactly that length: the massive Biggoron's Sword.
However, while the Biggoron's Sword weighs a brutal 137g, the Razor Sword weighs a highly agile 87g. Let's look at the physics:
| Zelda Relic | Physical Length | Gram Weight | Blade Architecture | Price |
| Razor Sword | 20.5 cm | 87 g | Split/Forked Blade (Negative Space) | $19.99 |
| Biggoron's Sword | 20.5 cm | 137 g | Solid, Thick Broadsword | $19.99 |
Think this is the only 20.5cm sword we forge? Discover the brutal 137g weight of the [Biggoron's Sword], or explore the ultra-lightweight, 53g 'glass cannon' engineering of the [Royal Guard's Claymore] .
Where did those 50 grams go? It went into thin air.
Look at the handheld scale shot above. The blade essentially splits into two distinct tuning-fork-like prongs. In traditional miniature casting, leaving a massive gap of negative space like this makes the metal incredibly fragile. To prevent the two prongs from snapping under pressure, we use a high-density zinc alloy injection process, ensuring that the 87g weight is structurally sound and rigid.
The Spiked Pommel and Metallic Wash
A blade this aggressive requires a hilt that matches its temper.
Focus on the detail shot resting on the wood slice. To counterbalance the wide, forked blade, the Razor Sword features a distinct, heavy spiked pommel at the base of the grip. The handle itself is cast with a wrapped texture and finished in an antiqued bronze/gold tone. The blade is coated with a specialized metallic icy-blue wash, giving it that freshly-sharpened, razor-edge aesthetic from the game.

A Mountain Smithy Desk Setup
A sword forged in the snowy peaks shouldn't be displayed on a boring mousepad.
For our studio diorama, we surrounded this 87g weapon with miniature bellows, a grinding stone, and raw iron anvils. Even without the diorama, resting this unique, angular blade on its included display stand adds a fierce, industrial edge to your gaming setup. Best of all, unlike the game, this blade won't lose its edge after 100 strikes.
At just $19.99, it is a masterclass in hollow-casting technology.
