The Lore & Forge Reviews

Forged by Giants: The 137g Biggoron's Sword Metal Replica (20.5cm)

27 Apr 2026 0 comments

Welcome back to the heat of the BlacksmithSONG forge. Today, we are leaving the dark forests and heading straight into the volcanic craters of Death Mountain.

When you need a blade that hits harder than the Master Sword, you don't go to a normal blacksmith. You go to a giant. We are reviewing the ultimate two-handed claymore: the Biggoron's Sword.

Before we break down the brutalist zinc alloy engineering behind this massive slab of metal, take a look at how it rests against our heavy iron anvil in the Death Mountain diorama video below:

The Goron Physics: Shorter Length, Double the Weight!

In our last review, we marvelled at how the 21cm Fierce Deity Sword weighed a lightning-fast 71g due to its hollow double-helix design.

(Curious how a sword of the exact same 20.5cm length can weigh 50 grams less? Read our engineering breakdown of the [split-blade Razor Sword here!])

The Biggoron’s Sword is the exact opposite. It represents raw, unstoppable blunt-force trauma. Let’s look at the forge data:

Zelda Relic Physical Length Gram Weight Engineering Style
Biggoron's Sword 20.5 cm 137 g ! Thick, Solid Broad-blade
Fierce Deity Sword 21.0 cm 71 g Hollow-cast Double Helix

How does a sword that is half a centimeter shorter weigh almost twice as much?

Look closely at the handheld scale image above. The blade is incredibly wide and completely solid. There are no hollow channels, no delicate curves. It is a thick, dense ingot of pure zinc alloy. When you pick up this 137g replica, it commands respect. It feels like a genuine tool of destruction that could shatter rocks on your desk.

Brutalist Hilt and the Engraved Scabbard

Despite its brutal weight, the detailing is worthy of Hyrule's master craftsmen.

Notice the vivid blue angular crossguard and the golden central crest locking the blade to the silver-wrapped grip. To balance the heavy blade, the pommel is equally dense.

However, we are particularly proud of the scabbard. Instead of a standard glossy finish, we cast the scabbard with a matte, chocolate-brown texture to mimic thick monster leather. Deeply engraved tribal Goron swirls run down its length, capped with heavy gold accents and a striking blue gem setting near the throat. It is an absolute masterpiece of micro-casting.

A Volcanic Desk Display

A sword forged in a volcano deserves an explosive display.

In our studio setup, we paired this heavy claymore with miniature Goron powder kegs, a blacksmith's anvil, and iconic Bomb Flowers. Even if you just rest it flat on your mousepad, its 137g presence is undeniable. It is the perfect paperweight for gamers who prefer strength builds and heavy hits.

Prove you have the strength of a Goron.
