Which Fate Sword Replicas Can You Get?

Excalibur Proto leads the sword group at 135 g (4.8 oz) — a version of the sword in the stone from a different point in the timeline, not the same casting as Excalibur Morgan. Ea, Sword of Rupture follows at 124 g (4.4 oz), and the lightest sword in the lineup, La Pucelle at 70 g (2.5 oz), is named for Jeanne d'Arc's own historical epithet — "the Maid" — centuries before any game used it. Prince of Lan Ling's Sword nods to a real sixth-century Chinese general, Gao Changgong, still remembered today for the fearsome mask he wore into battle. Balmung comes from the Nibelungenlied, pulled from a tree by the one hero strong enough to draw it — the same setup as Caliburn a few rows up, drawn from stone instead of wood, and the two make a natural pair on a shelf.

What About the Two Telescoping Spears?

Both spears here trace back to the Ulster Cycle of Irish mythology — Cú Chulainn's cursed Gáe Bolg and the near-identical weapon carried by his own teacher, Scáthach. Both replicas share the same trick: a shaft that slides out for display. Gáe Bolg is the lighter and the original at 30 g (1.1 oz), running 22 cm (8.7 in) retracted to 30 cm (11.8 in) extended; Gáe Bolg Alternative is a touch heavier at 38 g (1.3 oz) and reaches 29 cm (11.4 in) extended. It's modeled on the shackle from the Epic of Gilgamesh — the binding used on the Bull of Heaven, one of the oldest surviving stories in written form. This is a genuine link-jointed chain, not a rigid casting: the links move so it drapes the way a real chain would, which is also the entire mechanism — there's no blade anywhere on this piece. Do Any of These Replicas Actually Move?

Four of the twelve do, and it's worth knowing which before you order:

• Gáe Bolg and Gáe Bolg Alternative both telescope — the shaft slides out to full length and slides back in. Nothing locks, nothing launches.
• Chains of Heaven is a jointed chain, not a solid piece — the links move so it can drape over a stand or shelf edge the way a real chain does.
• Caliburn ships in its scabbard with a spring-loaded release: press the button on the scabbard and the blade pops free for display. It doesn't lock and it doesn't eject with force — you push the blade back in by hand when you're done.
