At 18cm (7.1") and 87g (3.1oz) of solid die-cast zinc alloy, the Cone Spear replica ships free worldwide from BlacksmithSONG. It’s the shortest weapon in this Vault. It’s also the heaviest. Physics has opinions.

What Is the Cone Spear?

The Cone Spear is our fan-art take on the nameless, drill-tipped lance carried by Unit-05 — the mech that intercepts an Angel in 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance. The anime never named it; we did.

Shot by Us

Every photo on this page is ours — shot in our own studio, of the exact piece we ship. No CGI, no renders, no supplier images. We propped it against a couple of travel books and lit it from one side so the mechanical joint at the base and the tapered red point both hold their detail.

What You Get at 18cm

Eighteen centimetres (7.1") is short enough to disappear next to a stack of books, roughly keyboard-width and no more. That’s exactly what makes 87g (3.1oz) surprising — this is the heaviest piece in the entire Vault, packed into the smallest footprint of the five. Pick it up expecting a keychain and you get a paperweight instead.

The Metalwork

The tapered point, the ribbed collar where it would mount to an arm, and the full 18cm (7.1") length are cast as one die-cast zinc alloy body, then hand-finished before the black-to-red gradient goes on. There’s no separate tip glued onto a rod — the taper is shaped straight in the mold, which is also where most of that 87g (3.1oz) comes from. Solid castings are simply heavier than hollow ones, and this is about as solid as small die-cast gets.

Choose Your Display

Bare stands up fine on its own, or add a Small Stand (+$2) or Large Stand (+$3) to keep the point angled toward the viewer instead of the wall; Vertical (+$4) suits it if you want it standing straight up. It’s an unofficial fan-art piece, through and through, and shares a shelf naturally with our red scythe replica or every other spear in the case.

Free worldwide tracked shipping, a foam-lined gift box, and a 30-day money-back guarantee — every order gets all three, with US orders landing in 10–14 days. Fan-made, unofficial, and not affiliated with anyone — the full story is on our fan art policy page. That’s the whole Vault, cover to cover — five weapons, two of them nameless until we stepped in.

Curious what it shares a film with? The 33g Spear of Cassius comes from the same movie, wielded by a very different Eva.

FAQ

Asked by collectors, answered by the makers.

How big is 18cm (7.1"), really?

At 18cm (7.1"), the Cone Spear is just a couple centimetres longer than a large phone laid flat — a 6.7-inch screen size, for reference. That makes it one of the most compact pieces in the whole Vault, even though it’s easily the heaviest. The in-hand photo above shows the size-to-weight mismatch better than any number can.

Is the blade sharp?

No — every edge and point is cast blunt straight from the mold. It’s a solid die-cast display collectible, not a functional weapon, recommended for ages 14+.

Why does this feel so much heavier than it looks?

At 87g (3.1oz), it’s the heaviest single piece across the whole Vault — more than double the weight of some of the other spears at nearly the same length. That’s solid die-cast zinc alloy doing what it does: dense, cold to the touch at first, and immediately convincing as metal rather than a toy. Short doesn’t mean light here.

How is the tapered point protected in shipping?

It travels inside the foam-lined gift box with the point nested into a cut-out that keeps it from pressing against the lid or shifting during transit. The point itself is cast blunt, so there’s no edge to worry about denting the packaging either. Worst case in transit is a scuff, not a bent tip.

Is this an officially licensed product?

No — and we say so on our own page. This is an unofficial fan-art collectible from a two-person studio, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by any game, anime, or film company. There’s no official packaging or certificate, because there isn’t one to give you. Full details on our fan art policy page (/pages/fan-art-policy).

How long is shipping, and how can I pay?

Free worldwide tracked shipping; US orders land in 10–14 days. Payment options are shown at checkout. Every order carries a 30-day money-back guarantee.
