The Spear of Gaius is the odd one out in this trio — not an ancient relic, but something Misato Katsuragi and Ritsuko Akagi build mid-story from the wreckage of the AAA Wunder. Shinji Ikari uses it to rewrite the world without a single Eva unit left standing: humanity’s own answer, forged in the finale, to two borrowed gods.

How big is 21cm (8.3"), really?
At 21cm (8.3"), the Spear of Gaius runs almost exactly the length of a chef’s knife blade — the kind you’d find in a proper kitchen set, not a paring knife. That’s enough reach to hold real visual weight on a shelf without needing a huge footprint. The in-hand photo above is the reference that actually matters.
Is the blade sharp?
No — every edge and point is cast blunt straight from the mold. It’s a solid die-cast display collectible, not a functional weapon, recommended for ages 14+.
How do I tell the three spears apart?
Size and color do most of the work: Cassius is 22cm with a single green-gemmed blade, Longinus is the same 22cm but lightest at 30g with a twin-fork tip, and Gaius is the odd one — 21cm, heaviest at 60g, with a branching blade instead of a single point. Weight in the hand is the fastest tell if you’re building the set.
Why does something this size weigh 60g?
Because it’s not a simple rod — the branching blade shape means more surface and more metal than a straight spearhead of the same length, and die-cast zinc alloy is dense to begin with.
