From BlacksmithSONG: the Tenseiga replica pairs a die-cast zinc alloy blade — 26cm (10.2"), 52g (1.8 oz) — with a lacquer-look scabbard, shipped free worldwide with tracking. The scabbard's satin-black finish is the first thing people notice — the blade underneath is the part that, according to the source material, can't actually cut anything living.

What Is the Tenseiga?

The Tenseiga is the sword of life carried by Sesshomaru, forged when Toga split its healing power away from the fang that became Tessaiga. It can't cut anything living — only creatures from the underworld — but a single swing can revive dozens of recently fallen souls. Ours is a fan-made tribute to that fang, cast at desk scale.

Shot by Us

Every photo on this page is ours — shot in our own studio, of the exact piece we ship. No CGI, no renders, no supplier images. We weighed it ourselves at 52g (1.8 oz) and lit the scabbard at an angle that shows off its satin sheen without hiding the blue diamond-wrapped grip underneath.

How Big Is 26cm, Really?

Twenty-six centimetres (10.2") is enough to want its own spot on a shelf, but 52g (1.8 oz) keeps it light in the hand — noticeably lighter than the 22cm Tessaiga beside it, even though it’s the longer of the two. That makes it easy to lean upright in a shallow display nook without crowding anything else. The in-hand photo above is the honest reference.

Cast, Not Cut

The blade is die-cast in zinc alloy as one piece, straight-backed with a shallow curve — a slimmer profile than Tessaiga’s broad fang shape. The blue diamond-wrapped grip and red tsuba are molded and hand-finished, then fitted to the tang. The black scabbard it rests in is a separate lacquered-plastic piece, not die-cast metal — its glossy finish is built to read as lacquer, not to double as blade-grade zinc.

Choose Your Display

Bare, or add a Small Stand (+$2), Large Stand (+$3), or Vertical Stand (+$4) — vertical works well once the blade’s out of the scabbard, since its slim profile stands cleanly upright on its own. It’s a fan-made tribute to an Inuyasha fang blade, unofficial and unaffiliated. Browse the rest of the Demon Fang Vault, or explore the katana section for more like it. Fan-made, unofficial, and not affiliated with anyone — the full story is on our fan art policy page.

Free worldwide tracked shipping (US orders land in 10–14 days), a foam-lined gift box, and a 30-day money-back guarantee, no matter which stand option you pick. That’s Tenseiga — built for the shelf, not the fight.

Tenseiga and Tessaiga started as one blade before Toga split them between his sons — see the fang that got the other half of the bargain in our Tessaiga listing.

FAQ

Straight answers from the two of us at the forge.

How big is 26cm (10.2"), really?

Tenseiga runs 26cm (10.2") tip to pommel and weighs 52g (1.8 oz) — about the length of a standard ruler, but noticeably lighter in the hand than you’d guess from the number alone. The scabbard adds a little visual bulk without adding much weight.

Is the blade sharp?

No — every edge and point is cast blunt straight from the mold. It’s a die-cast display collectible, not a functional weapon, recommended for ages 14+.

What does the name Tenseiga actually mean?

Tenseiga (天生牙) roughly translates to “heavenly life fang” — tensei is the Japanese word for reincarnation, and it shows in what the sword does. It’s a direct counterpart to Tessaiga, whose name points to crushing and destruction: one fang for taking life, one for giving it back.

How does Tenseiga compare to Tessaiga?

Tenseiga is the longer of the two at 26cm (10.2") versus Tessaiga’s 22cm (8.7") — but it’s also the lighter piece, at 52g (1.8 oz) against Tessaiga’s 71g. More length, less heft: the size doesn’t scale the way you’d expect.

Is this an officially licensed product?

No — and we say so on our own page. This is an unofficial fan-art collectible from a two-person studio, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by any game, anime, or film company. There’s no official packaging or certificate, because there isn’t one to give you. Full details on our fan art policy page (/pages/fan-art-policy).

How long is shipping, and how can I pay?

Free worldwide tracked shipping; US orders land in 10–14 days. Payment options are shown at checkout. Every order carries a 30-day money-back guarantee.
