The Longest Reach: Forging the 29cm Lightscale Trident Metal Replica
Welcome back to the BlacksmithSONG forge. In our previous deep-dive, we were covered in the sweat and soot of the Mountain Smithy, analyzing the aggressive split-blade of the 87g Razor Sword.
Today, we wash off the ash. We are travelling to the serene, crystal-clear waters of Zora's Domain to examine a weapon built for elegance and unmatched reach: the Lightscale Trident
Before we discuss the physics of casting our longest replica yet, watch the silver and crimson finish gleam in our aquatic studio diorama below:
The Polearm Physics: 29cm of Precision (75g)
When crafting a desk replica, polearms (spears, halberds, and tridents) present a completely different challenge compared to broadswords.
Take a look at the data for Mipha’s legendary weapon:
| Zelda Relic | Physical Length | Gram Weight | Core Architecture | Price |
| Lightscale Trident | 29 cm ! | 75 g | Slender Polearm & Crowned Tip | $19.99 |
| Master Sword | 28 cm | 183 g | Solid Broadsword | $19.99 |
At 29cm, the Lightscale Trident is officially the longest item currently in our Zelda collection—even beating the Master Sword by a full centimeter!
However, it only weighs 75 grams. Why? Because it is a true polearm.
To recreate the graceful agility of the Zora, the shaft of the trident must be incredibly slender. Pouring liquid zinc alloy into a mold that is nearly 30cm long and only millimeters thick is a blacksmith's nightmare. If the cooling process is even slightly uneven, the shaft will warp or bend. We utilize high-pressure micro-casting to ensure that the 29cm shaft remains perfectly straight, rigid, and ready for display.
The Zora Crown and Emerald Wrapping
While the shaft is slender, the head of the trident is a masterpiece of aquatic design.
Focus on the detail shot. The trident head isn't just a fork; it mimics the flowing fins and crests of Zora royalty. The silver metal is polished to a high sheen, contrasted by deep crimson enamel set into the blade cutouts. Look closer at the grip section: we cast an intricate, scaled texture into the metal and finished it with a vibrant emerald green wash to simulate the aquatic leather wrapping used by Champion Mipha herself.

The Aquatic Palace Display
A weapon this elegant demands a serene environment.
In our studio, we paired this 75g replica with a miniature white palace, glowing blue crystals, and luminescent aquatic mushrooms. Because of its incredible 29cm length, we highly recommend using the included vertical display stand. Anchoring this silver trident vertically next to your PC monitor creates a striking, elegant aesthetic that celebrates one of Hyrule's greatest champions.
