Two of These Were Buried Together

Eduj and Okin came out of the same forge — same smith, same warrior, laid in the same tomb with him when he died. Their enchantments match down to the numbers: identical frost damage, identical slow, identical duration. That is the sort of detail nobody had to write in and somebody did anyway. One is a sword and one is a war axe, so in practice most players carry whichever suits their build and sell the other, which rather misses the point of the pair. On this shelf they end up next to each other again, which is at least closer to how they started out.

Where to Start

Three ways in. Dawnbreaker is the one that needs no introduction — the sunburst guard does all the work, and it's the lightest thing in the armory. Okin is the opposite proposition: the shortest piece here and the heaviest by a clear margin, which is what happens when you condense an axe head. And the Ebony Blade is the longest piece on the page and still weighs less than most of the swords beside it.

The Forge Standard

Die-cast zinc alloy, hand-finished, with every edge and point cast blunt — display collectibles, recommended for ages 14+. The proportions on this shelf run counter to intuition: the shortest piece here is nine centimetres under the longest and thirty-six grams over it, because a dai-katana is a thin ribbon of metal and an axe head is a block. Three pieces on this page land at exactly the same weight as each other, which we only noticed after weighing them.
