Filmed on a miniature set we build by hand for each piece — the weight in the hand, the scale against everyday objects, the die-cast detail up close. No CGI, no stock footage.

BlacksmithSONG casts the Andúril replica in solid die-cast zinc alloy — 30cm (11.8"), 104g (3.7 oz), free worldwide tracked shipping. It's the long, lean one in our cabinet: full length, and still only 104g, because this silhouette was never built like a slab of a greatsword. And if you landed here mostly wanting to know what the name actually means, we'll take that first.

What Is Andúril?

Andúril is the sword reforged from the shards of Narsil — the blade that snapped beneath its king in the last war against a dark lord, some three thousand years before the story begins. Renamed Flame of the West, it's carried by a certain ranger who was crowned at the story's end.

The Hall Where a Broken Thing Waited

We built a small hall of white stone for this one: carved angels keeping watch, a pale floor, a toppled column, dry leaves and pine cones that drifted in from somewhere and simply stayed. The angels aren't decoration — they're why the set reads as a resting place instead of a battlefield, which is the whole idea behind this particular sword. Every picture on this page is a real shot of the real replica inside that handmade set. No CGI, no renders. And if you want the version from before the crown, we cast that one too: the plain blade its bearer carried before the crown is the same man's story, decades earlier and considerably dustier.

How Big Is 30cm, Really?

Exactly one school ruler. That's not a metaphor — there's a real ruler in the size photo doing the job for us, edge to edge, 30cm (11.8"). At 104g (3.7 oz) it lands lighter than most people brace for from that much solid metal, because a narrow blade simply uses less of it. The in-hand photo is the honest read.

Cast, Not Cut

Each piece leaves the mold as a single zinc-alloy body, then the two of us hand-finish it. The swept, wing-shaped guard, the ribbed grip, and the band of script running down the blade are shaped into the mold itself, so they still hold their edges under a macro lens. The scabbard is its own cast piece — the sword can live drawn, sheathed, or halfway between. Read the full forging story for how we handled that script band at this size.

Choose Your Display

Andúril alone, or add a Small Stand (+$2), Large Stand (+$3), or Vertical Stand (+$4) — all three are photographed above, so nothing here is a guess. For a blade this straight we'd take the Vertical Stand: upright, it puts the guard at eye level and gives the whole thing a monument posture. The two flat stands read more museum-case.

Two more doors from here: the rest of the Fellowship Blade ?, or every sword replica we've cast so far. FAQ

Asked by collectors, answered by the makers.

How big is 30cm (11.8"), really?

Exactly the length of a standard school ruler, which is why we put a real one in the size photo instead of describing it. At 104g (3.7 oz) it reads lighter than people expect from solid metal at that length, and the in-hand shot above shows how it sits across a palm.

Is the blade sharp?

No — every edge and point is cast blunt straight from the mold. It's a solid die-cast display collectible, not a functional weapon, recommended for ages 14+.

What does the writing on it mean?

The band down the blade is the sword's own declaration; in the story it reads, roughly, "I am Andúril who was Narsil." The scabbard carries its own tracery of leaves and elven runes naming the blade and its line. On our casting both are shaped into the mold as continuous line work rather than individually legible letters at this size.

Why is it only 104g (3.7 oz) at 30cm?

Because of the profile. This is a long, narrow, straight-edged blade rather than a broad greatsword, so the same solid zinc alloy stretches further with less mass behind it. It still lands cold and metallic in the hand — it just doesn't fight you the way a heavier casting does.

Is this an officially licensed product?

No. This is an independently designed fan-art collectible from our two-person studio, not affiliated with or endorsed by any game, anime, or film company.

How long is shipping, and how can I pay?

Free worldwide tracked shipping; US orders land in 10–14 days. No PayPal account needed — click PayPal, then choose "Debit or Credit Card." Every order carries a 30-day money-back guarantee.
