Why the Dagger Always Gets the Last Word

Nobody builds a hero around a dagger. It's the weapon of whoever is standing behind you, and that is exactly why writers keep handing it the ending — the killing blow in a final act is almost never delivered by the big sword. They're also the hardest class to make interesting: no reach, no sweep, nothing to swing. Every bit of character has to live in the profile — a wavy blade, a hooked quillon, a hilt shaped like something that has no business being a hilt. A dagger earns its place on a shelf by silhouette alone, and the good ones are very good at it.

Where to Start

There's no house style here, so pick by where the blade came from. Two of them come out of The Lands Between Armory — the strangest shapes on this shelf, crystal and blood-dark curves that look grown rather than forged. Two more belong with the Fellowship Blade Vault, where short blades are pale, narrow and elvish about it. And the one from The Nordic Armory is the ritual piece — less a knife than an implement.

The Forge Standard

Every piece here is die-cast zinc alloy, poured solid and hand-finished, with every edge and point cast blunt — display collectibles, recommended for ages 14+. It's a short shelf with no filler on it: one blade crystalline, one curved like a claw, one straight and pale, one that ripples the whole way down.
