What Is the Galadriel Sword?

This is the personal blade tied to the ruling Lady of a golden wood realm — a figure Tolkien himself described as tall, strong, and "a match for both the loremasters and the athletes" of her people in her youth. Later adaptations have leaned into that history directly, putting an actual sword in her hand and a title like "commander" beside her name. Long before she ruled anything, the Lady of Light was already the kind of elf a blade like this one suited.

A Mirror on the Ground

We built this set on a sheet of black glass so reflective it reads like still water: an ornate silver ewer and a rose-etched goblet, a crystal decanter catching candlelight, a strand of pearls, white blossoms still beaded with water, and scattered ginkgo leaves gone gold at the edges. A few small faceted crystals sit among the leaves like they fell out of someone's pocket. About the height of a standard wine bottle, base to cork — there's a decanter in this very photo set doing roughly the same job, if you want to eyeball it. At 140g (4.9 oz) it settles into the palm with real weight behind that slim profile; the in-hand photo shows exactly how it balances.

The Metalwork

Each piece leaves the mold as a single die-cast zinc-alloy body, then the two of us hand-finish it. The winged guard, the leaf-shaped pommel, and the fine twin fuller lines running down the blade are all shaped into the mold itself, holding their detail under close light instead of blurring into a shape. The small amber-toned stone set at the guard's center is cast as part of the piece — it catches light like a real inset, not a sticker. The scabbard is its own cast piece, dark leather-toned with a diamond-shaped silver chape.
