What Is Needle?

Needle is a slim, small-bladed sword made by an ordinary castle smith — no spell-forged steel, no ancient name attached. A departing brother had it made as a parting gift for his younger sister, who promptly named it after the embroidery lessons she'd been failing at for years. She kept it through everything that came after.

We built this set out of the things that get used when a blade won't do: pale sand, white tapers burning down at odd heights, faceless masks half-swallowed by the drift, dried lavender scattered loose, and a green glass bottle nobody in the scene should drink from. Needle lies bare across the grey stone, scabbard set apart, looking exactly as out of place as it did in that story. Straight from the Mold

One zinc-alloy body out of the mold, hand-finished at our bench. The scrolled filigree on the guard, the matching pommel and the raised pattern at the scabbard's throat and tip are all shaped in the mold, so the fine detail survives being looked at closely. The grip carries a deep pressed texture in dark red. Even the point on a blade this thin comes out of the mold blunt — that part isn't optional here.
