At 22cm (8.7") and 77g (2.7 oz) of solid die-cast zinc alloy, the Red Copper Sabre replica ships free worldwide from BlacksmithSONG. It’s a black blade veined with gold crackle, sheathed in silver-toned scrollwork — the kind you draw slowly, on purpose.

What is the Red Copper Sabre?

The Red Copper Sabre is the weapon of the Tiger Vanguard, the Yellow Wind Demon’s front-line general in Journey to the West, who pulls two red-copper blades from a pile of rocks in chapter 20. Black Myth: Wukong brings him back as a Chapter 2 boss at Crouching Tiger Temple. Ours is an unofficial fan-art take on that blade.

Shot by Us

Every photo on this page is ours — shot in our own studio, of the exact piece we ship: blade drawn and blade sheathed, on a ruler and in a hand. No CGI, no renders, no supplier images. What you see is what lands in the box.

22cm in the Real World

At 22cm it’s a small sword, not a letter opener — the in-hand and ruler shots above show the honest scale. The 77g (2.7 oz) is light enough to hold one-handed all evening and dense enough that you still know it’s metal. It lands on a desk without taking the desk over.

Straight from the Mold

The silver-toned scrollwork on the scabbard, the lozenge plaques, the ring pommel and the guard are all shaped in the mold, so the relief has real depth. The black-and-gold finish on the blade and grip is hand-finished, and the blade slides out of the scabbard and back in. Every edge is cast blunt. The whole armory is written up in the collection walkthrough.

Choose Your Display

Blade and scabbard on their own, or add a Small Stand (+$2), Large Stand (+$3) or Vertical Stand (+$4). The Small Stand holds it sheathed on an angle, the Large Stand adds a carved scroll base, the Vertical Stand stands it upright. Browse the Monkey King’s Armory, more metal swords like it, or the Golden Loong Staff.

Free worldwide tracked shipping — about a 10-day median, longer if customs holds it — a foam-lined gift box, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Fan-made, unofficial, and not affiliated with anyone — the full story is on our fan art policy page. Seventy-seven grams, and it still draws like it means it.

FAQ: Red Copper Sabre Replica

Everything worth knowing before this lands on your desk.

How big is 22cm (8.7"), really?

About 22cm end to end — 8.7 inches — and 77g (2.7 oz) in the hand, so it reads as a proper small sword rather than a keychain. The ruler shot and the in-hand shot on this page show the honest scale.

Is the blade sharp?

No — every edge and point is cast blunt straight from the mold. It’s a solid die-cast display collectible, not a functional weapon, recommended for ages 14+.

Why is it called the Red Copper Sabre when it’s black and gold?

The name comes from Journey to the West, where the Tiger Vanguard pulls a pair of red-copper blades from the rocks in chapter 20. Ours is an unofficial fan-art take: one sabre in a scabbard, finished in black with gold crackle. The name is the lore; the colors are what you see in the photos.

Does the blade come out of the scabbard?

Yes — blade and scabbard are two separate pieces, and the blade slides out and back in. The scabbard carries two ring loops, with a short chain looped through them in several of our photos. It’s still a display piece, so go gently, and it stays blunt either way.

Is this an officially licensed product?

No — and we say so on our own page. This is an unofficial fan-art collectible from a two-person studio, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by any game, anime, or film company. There's no official packaging or certificate, because there isn't one to give you.

How long is shipping, and how can I pay?

Free worldwide tracked shipping. Typical delivery is about 10 days — the median across 150+ tracked deliveries, US and international alike — though customs can stretch a small share to three or four weeks. Payment options are shown at checkout. Every order carries a 30-day money-back guarantee.
