What Is the Royal Guard's Sword?

This one-handed blade was designed as a stand-in for a far more legendary sword — forged with the same ancient technology, meant to arm castle sentries against a coming catastrophe. It just wasn't built to last: soldiers carrying it found the metal wore out faster than their courage did. Scattered swords like this one are still found lying around the castle grounds today, more relic than weapon.

The Scene: The Sentries' Armory

We built a training room straight out of the castle's lower levels for this one — matching weapons lined up on wooden racks, a paired treasure chest, red skull-marked powder barrels, and a training dummy still holding its shield mid-drill. Somewhere in that same room, we tucked back in the coiled, glowing-eyed shape from the same set we built for its two-handed sibling — this armory clearly wasn't as calamity-proof as anyone hoped. The Metalwork

Each Royal Guard's Sword replica is die-cast as a single zinc-alloy body, then hand-finished. The layered crossguard and the diamond-pattern etching running down the blade's spine are shaped directly into the mold, holding their crisp lines instead of wearing soft over time. The teal accent color along that etching is a hand-applied detail added afterward for contrast. Every edge stays cast blunt, built to stand proudly on a shelf rather than see another calamity.
