By size. Ten of the twelve run 20–23cm, which is the size band most desks are built around — everything from Hardedge and Fusion Sword at 20cm up to Sword of the Father at 23cm. the 16–21cm collection covers the shorter end, the 22–25cm collection covers the bulk of the lineup, and the Masamune stands alone in the 26–30cm collection as the only piece over 23cm.

The Lore Behind Six of These Blades

The sword that's been passed down three times. The Buster Sword is FFVII's signature weapon, and it's already secondhand by the time Cloud Strife carries it — it belonged to Angeal Hewley first, then Zack Fair, before it came to Cloud. That lineage is why it reads as a symbol of inherited duty as much as a weapon.

Six pieces, one name nobody in the movie ever says. The Fusion Sword is Cloud's six-piece combination blade from Advent Children — main blade, hollow blade, back blades, and side blades locking together into one weapon. "Fusion Sword" itself was never spoken on screen; it's the name fans settled on, and we're using it the same honest way.

The rival's blade is older and stranger than the hero's. Sephiroth’s Masamune is a recurring Final Fantasy weapon — an exceptionally long katana that's been Sephiroth's signature since FFVII. At 26cm it's the longest piece in this Vault, and at 51g it's also the lightest, which is a strange combination until you remember it's a slim blade, not a dense one.

Three names, one recurring confusion. Ultima Sword, Ultima Weapon, and Omega Weapon get mixed up constantly, and honestly, they should — they're not the same kind of thing. "Ultima Sword" isn't an item at all in FFXV; it's the name of the attack Bahamut performs when the swords making up his armor's wings fly loose and rain down on the enemy, so our replica models that swarm's individual blade shape rather than claiming to be "Bahamut's sword." Ultima Weapon is a different animal entirely — a genuine recurring item across nearly every mainline Final Fantasy since FFVI, and in FFXVI it's Clive's actual endgame blade at 700 attack, only craftable on a second playthrough. Omega Weapon is older still: it debuted as Lightning's strongest gunblade back in FFXIII before turning up in FFXVI's weapon list, though we couldn't confirm exactly how it's obtained there — so we're not going to guess.

Two names, one weapon, one that came first. The Revolver is Squall Leonhart's starting gunblade in FFVIII. Lion Heart, his strongest one, is a different weapon with a translucent dark-blue-to-white blade — but its frame is built on the Revolver's chassis, black grip base and all. We ship the plainer Revolver: solid silver-grey blade, lion-head guard, no functioning parts on the gun side of it.

Only royal blood can lift it. Sword of the Father is King Regis's blade in FFXV — a royal arm, meaning only the Lucian royal line can actually wield it. It passes to his son Noctis over the course of the story, which is the same quiet father-to-son handoff that makes it a natural shelf neighbor for the Masamune, a weapon defined by who carries it.

Is the Revolver the same gunblade as Lion Heart?
