Sukuna's Two Cursed Tools

Two of these four belong to the same sorcerer, and neither one looks the way its name suggests.

Hiten is the trident Ryomen Sukuna carried back in the Heian era — a straight center prong flanked by two curved gold tines on a black shaft. Nobody alive has actually seen him use it; the name itself just means "flight," and what happened to it after his death a thousand years ago is never explained. It's the lightest piece in this Vault by a wide margin.

Kamutoke is Sukuna's other cursed tool, and this is where the name gets misleading: despite descriptions elsewhere calling it vajra-shaped, the actual object is a short dagger-like pendant — a straight blade with a gilded crossguard, a wrapped grip, and a steel keyring at the butt end. What it does is more dramatic than how it looks: it's said to summon lightning down onto whatever it's pointed at. At just 16cm, it's also the smallest thing on this shelf and, gram for gram, the heaviest — more on that below.

Same sorcerer, two tools, and the flashier name (Kamutoke, "named for lightning") belongs to the quieter-looking object, while the plainer name (Hiten, "named for flight") belongs to the one nobody ever saw in motion.

The Weapon That Stops Anything — Including Gojo

Inverted Spear of Heaven is Toji Fushiguro's cursed tool, and despite the name, it isn't a spear at all — the official design is a dagger with a broad, notched blade and paired symbol lines down each face, closer in shape to a wide utility knife than anything you'd call "inverted heaven." What earns it the special-grade rating is what it does on contact: it can shut down any cursed technique it touches, full stop, no exceptions written into the rules — including abilities built around being untouchable. At 20cm and 99g, it's the second-heaviest piece in the Vault, only just behind Kamutoke.

A Katana That Didn't Survive Its First Use

Exorcist's Blade is our name for the katana Yuta Okkotsu carried early on — the sword itself was never given an official name in the source material, only "Yuta's katana," so per our own naming rules we didn't put a character's name on the label and picked something that describes what it is instead. The blade started as a loaner, handed to a beginner sorcerer straight out of a cursed tool vault; it didn't last long once real cursed energy started running through it, and Yuta carried something else after that. At 26cm, it's the longest piece here — and, at 49g, one of the lightest.

By the Numbers: The Smallest Piece Is the Heaviest

Line these four up by length and the weight runs almost backward. Kamutoke is the shortest thing in the Vault at 16cm (6.3in) — and the heaviest at 103g (3.6oz). Hiten is nearly the longest at 22cm (8.7in) and the lightest of all four at just 33g (1.2oz). That's roughly a 4x difference in density between two pieces cast from the same zinc alloy, at the same store, in the same size range.

Shape explains most of it — Kamutoke and the Inverted Spear of Heaven are both solid, blade-forward pieces with less open air in the casting, while Hiten's tines and Exorcist's Blade's slim profile put more length into less material. Either way, it's a number we only know because we weighed every piece ourselves.

Are any of these sharp?

No — every edge and point across all four pieces is cast blunt straight from the mold, including Hiten's trident tines and Exorcist's Blade's katana edge. Display collectibles for ages 14+, not functional weapons.

Why does the smallest piece in the Vault weigh the most?

Because length and weight don't move together in a casting — shape and how solid the piece is matter more than how long it is. Kamutoke is only 16cm (6.3in) but it's a dense, blade-forward casting with very little open space, which is why it comes in at 103g (3.6oz) — heavier than pieces nearly 10cm longer.

Is the Inverted Spear of Heaven actually a spear?

No, and that trips people up — the official design is a dagger with a broad, notched blade, not a long-hafted spear. The name comes from the source material, not the shape, and our replica matches the dagger it actually is.

Why isn't this called "Yuta Okkotsu's Katana"?

Because the sword itself was never given an official name in the story — only described as "Yuta's katana." We'd rather name a product after what it actually is than borrow a character's name for a weapon that was never formally named, so we called it the Exorcist's Blade instead.
